Define the component before choosing the finish

Listed metal feeders: check the actual material
The 25 lb gravity dog feeder is listed as galvanized steel, not stainless steel. The dual-bin feeder is listed as metal; request the exact grade and finish before specifying stainless steel in a listing or purchase order. If a stainless steel variant is required, ask the team to assess that requirement explicitly.
Prepare a wholesale or OEM request
- Send the product link or drawing, component dimensions and intended use.
- State the required material grade, finish, branding position and packaging format.
- Identify the destination market and any applicable documentation requirements.
- Confirm samples, inspection criteria, quantity and delivery terms in the quotation.
Buyer questions
Does “metal” mean stainless steel?
No. Use the material recorded for the exact model, and request confirmation of grade and coating where these are not specified.
Does a polished appearance prove the grade?
No. Appearance alone does not establish material composition or compliance. Request specifications and supporting documents relevant to your selected product.
